Setting the System Name

The tasks in this section are performed on both the ChromLab computer and the

NGC instrument’s touch screen.

On the NGC system

1. When ChromLab Touch loads on the touch screen, you are prompted to

provide a name for the NGC instrument. By default, the name is NGC.

This is the name that appears on the ChromLab Home screen when it connects

to the NGC system. This is also the name that appears on the run r

eports to

identify the system on which the run was generated.

You can use any alphanumeric or special characters. However, you are limited

to a maximum of ten characters.
